The annual fall cleanup begins at 7:00 a.m. on October 4, 2010. Collection will begin at the north city boundary and proceed southward. Two sweeps of the city will be conducted. Residents should not stack items near meters or power/telephone lines. Items with access blocked by parked vehicles will not be collected.
Items will also be accepted free of charge at the Bethany Public Works complex, 5300 N. Central Road, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to Noon during the month of October.
Hazardous materials will not be collected during the cleanup nor will they be accepted at the Public Works complex. This includes used tires or any appliances containing Freon or oils. For more information, call 789-6285 or 789-1193.
