2012 Bethany Freedom Festival

Blog0 comments

The 2012 Bethany Freedom Festival is scheduled for Wednesday, July 4, 2011.

Come celebrate with us at our annual festival celebrating our nation’s independence on the Fourth of July. Each year, the festival draws nearly 20,000 people to our great city to spend the day at Eldon Lyon Park and take part in the festivities.

Pony rides, inflatables, and carnival rides and games will entertain the kiddos while the adults can look forward to festival food, a car show, and shopping.

Everyone will love the concert featuring the Chris Henson Band. The state’s finest fireworks display will bring the evening to a close.

Each year, we work hard to provide a fun, safe, family-friendly event that becomes a memory to last a lifetime.

Join us and experience the City of Bethany at its finest on the Fourth of July.

For more information about becoming a sponsor or vendor, contact Jennifer Massey or Linda Warner, the event co-planners at 405-789-5005.

There are many ways to stay healthy and happy this winter by spending as much time outdoors and in the sun as possible. Studies have shown that more sun exposure in the colder months can combat the winter blues.

Celebrate the beautiful weather Bethany is experiencing by spending time outdoors. Take advantage of the mild weather and go play in the sun. It is easy to do with so many Bethany parks right around the corner.

Eldon Lyon, our largest park, features two playgrounds, basketball courts, and trails. Keep up with your new year’s resolution to be healthier by fitting in a walk or run around the 1.5 mile trail. Kick the soccer ball or football around or fly a kite in the grand open fields.

Spending time with family outdoors is a low-cost, healthy way to enjoy the weather-permitting winter months. Here in Bethany, it is a safe past time that we can pass down to the next generation with confidence.
