The City of Bethany is closed on select holidays to allow staff time with their families.

2012 Days closed will be added shortly.

**On holidays that fall on Saturday or Sunday, the day closed may fall on a Friday or Monday.

Trash service will be suspended on city holidays and will resume on the next scheduled business day.

SOLID WASTE COLLECTOR

The City of Bethany is accepting applications for the position of Solid Waste Collector in the Public Works Department.  Work includes the collection and loading of refuse into a hydraulic powered packer truck and entails considerable physical exertion resulting from lifting and carrying heavy containers and exposure to adverse weather conditions.  Detailed job description available upon request.  High school diploma (or GED) is required.  Must be able to understand and follow oral and written instructions.

Applicant must be able to use and maintain a variety of tools and equipment.  Salary range:  $19,956 to $29,540 with excellent benefits.  Applications available at Bethany City Hall, 6700 NW 36th St, Bethany or at www.cityofbethany.org and will be accepted until the position is filled.
