2026 Bulk Trash Pickup Dates
March 2
Crews will start on the NORTH side of town and work SOUTH
Items should be out by 6am on March 2 (items placed out prior to February 27 are subject to code violations)
September 28

Items should be out by 6am on September 28 (items placed out prior to September 25 are subject to code violations)
These events are for bulk items only. For the safety of our employees, please put regular household trash in your polycart(s). Contact Public Works at 405-789-6285 with any questions or concerns. Household hazardous materials can be taken to Oklahoma City's collection facility at 1621 South Portland Ave, OKC OK, 73108. This is a free service for Bethany residents; however, you must show your current utility bill and ID. Please call 405-682-7038 for their hours of operation.
Bulk Pickup Guidelines
- Hazardous materials are NOT allowed
- Only ONE pass will be made
- Each residence is limited to 12 cubic yards (equivalent to 6 washing machines in a row stacked two high)
- Each cubic yard over the 12 cubic yard limit will incur a charge that will be added to the utility bill
- All items must be placed within 12' of the curb
- Limbs and branches should be placed parallel to the curb and should not be longer than 10'
- Do not place items for pickup around fire hydrants, close to gas meters, under low-lying trees, or directly under overhead lines
- Do not park cars in front of items intended for pickup
- Do not stack items against fence lines or next to mailboxes
Items That Will Not be Collected
- Tires
- Refrigerators, freezers, and any other items containing chemical refrigerants
- Paint
- Oil
- Pesticides
- Batteries
- Any liquids
- Asphalt shingles
- Propane tanks or pressurized cans
- Commercial trash
- Any other hazardous material
